Celebrate St. Patty’s Day With a Smiley Pack
This weekend we’ll all be seeing green. That’s right, it’s St. Patrick’s Day. Unfortunately, the holiday falls on a weekend so the Smiley Central office can’t celebrate like we usually do. However, we’re sure that the day will be spent wearing green, eating corned beef and cabbage and celebrating just as we would right here at work. St. Patrick’s Day has been celebrated here in the good old US of A since 1737. The first American celebration for the patron saint of Ireland was held in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1766, New York City held the first official St. Patrick’s Day parade. And since everyone likes to pretend they’re Irish on the special holiday, over 100 U.S. cities now boast St. Patty’s Day parades.
To get your crew of hooligans ready for the holiday, Smiley Central has a special surprise, just for you! Share your excitement for St. Patty’s Day with the Smiley Central St. Patrick’s Day iPhone Smileys. No need to paint yourself green, just download the smiley pack and start sharing with your friends from wherever you may be. It’s the perfect way to be festive and fun from your phone. Download the St. Patrick’s Day Smileys and start sending them to all your friends!

Who Stole the Cookies from the Cookie Jar? Introducing Social Crumbs!
Have you every been craving something in your cabinet? A bag of chips or something sweet? But when you go to get that snack, someone has taken the last of it and you’re left with nothing? We hate when that happens. For example, the other day someone brought in the most delicious chocolate chip cookies to the Smiley Central office. During the day, different people would sneak into the kitchen to grab one of the amazing cookies. All of a sudden, there were no more to go around — they had all been gobbled up! Would it be inappropriate to eat all the crumbs?
Speaking of crumbs, Smiley Central has a great new Facebook page to share with all of our fans. It’s called Social Crumbs. What’s that, you ask? Social Crumbs is basically the best of the best from all your favorite sites like Webfetti, MyFunCards and more all on one central page. Each day, Social Crumbs will share the latest and greatest from these sites — be on the look out for crazy smileys, fun e-cards, FB Timeline pics and more. It’s totally awesome! If you’re as excited as we are, head over to Facebook and like the page ASAP!
Oh, and if you thought this picture meant that we were sharing a yummy recipe for chocolate chip cookies, we’re sorry to disappoint you. But if you want to make some cookies and share them with us, we’ll never say no. Yum!

Channel Your Inner Gangster with Baddies Smiley Pack
An ongoing conversation here at Smiley Central has us thinking about nostalgia. These days, instances of nostalgia are seen everywhere, but nowhere more so than the entertainment industries. Just take a look at this year’s Academy Awards, which aired last Sunday. Nominated movies included Midnight in Paris, which focused on one writer’s desire to live in Paris in the ’20s, and The Artist, which was a throwback to silent films. Some of our favorite television shows these days don’t even take place in the present. Downton Abbey and Mad Men both have a huge fan base. What is it about nostalgia that makes us think everything is cooler in retrospect?
Take The Godfather movies for example. Those dudes in their suits, ties and guns seem so cool, when they were really wreaking some serious havoc on their families and communities. But they just look so awesome when they do it. Now we’re not telling you to go wild, but maybe you could channel a little more of the swagger seen in The Godfather, Mad Men and Downton Abbey to feel more connected with the past. And donning a slick suit or fancy hat never hurt anyone either.
